Harbin is the capital city of
the Heilongjiang Province which is the most north-easterly part of China and
borders Russia. During the long cold winter months the temperature can drop down
to as low as -22�F (-30�C). Snow carvings, ice lanterns, fireworks display and
snow recreations make Harbin one of China�s most popular winter
destinations.
The Harbin International Ice Festival is one of world�s four
largest international ice festivals, along with Japan�s Sapporo Snow Festival,
Canada�s Quebec Winter Carnival, and Norway�s Ski Festival. It starts annually
on January 5 and lasts for over one month, weather permitting. During this
period, people throughout the world take part in the various artist, cultural,
athletic and tourist events. The 27th Harbin Ice and Snow Festival started on
January 5, 2011.

Những cuộc biểu tình khổng lồ ở Ai cập nhằm trục xuất Tổng thống Hosni Mubarak đánh dấu một thời điểm chưa từng có trong lịch sử Ai cập
và hết sức khó chịu đối với Mubarak trong ba thập kỷ chiếm giữ quyền lực của ông ta. Tinh thần của cuộc nổi dậy này dường như đang lây nhiễm. TIME cho chúng ta một cái nhìn lướt qua những kẻ bạo quyền mà sự níu giữ quyền lực lúc này đã yếu hơn bao giờ hết.

Trong nhiều năm Ai cập không nằm trong tầm nhìn Trung Đông của hầu hết người Mỹ – cho dù trong thời gian dài Washington là nhà hảo tâm đối với chế độ Cairo.
Nhưng Ai cập, có thời từng là lực lượng áp đảo trong khu vực, nay đang ở trung tâm tin tức khi tổng thống Mubarak đang vật vã bám chặt lấy quyền lực trước những cuộc biểu tình chưa từng thấy.
Lãnh tụ chuyên quyền này đã lãnh đạo Ai cập từ sau cuộc ám sát Anwar Sadat năm 1981. Mặc dầu chính phủ Mubarak đã cải thiện các cuộc bầu cử năm 2005, đối lập chính trị thật sự từ lâu đã bị đàn áp dưới sự thống trị của ông ta.
Muslim Brotherhood, một nhóm chính trị Hồi giáo có ảnh hưởng sâu rộng trong quần chúng đã bị đàn áp, và lực lượng cảnh sát Ai cập khét tiếng là tàn bạo đối với những người chống chính phủ.
Các cuộc bầu cử quốc hội năm ngoái bị nhiều người cho là gian lận, và nhiều người Ai cập thấy xấu hổ trước những dấu hiệu đầu tiên Mubarak mở đường cho con trai ông ta lên nối ngôi - đặt cơ sở cho một triều đại gia đình trị được hậu thuẫn bởi một phái đặc quyền đặc lợi thối nát.
Mubarak hiện đang đứng trước một thách thức nghiêm trọng đối với sự thống trị dài nhiều thập kỷ của ông ta bởi một khối dân chúng tràn đầy phẫn nộ và thất vọng dồn nén từ nhiều năm nay.
2. Ali Abdullah

Một tuần lễ với các cuộc biểu tình chống đối trên khắp Yemen đã làm thấm nỗi sợ vào tim tổng thống Ali Abdullah Saleh, khiến ông ta vội vã thả nhiều nhà hoạt động nhân quyền và nhà báo chỉ ít ngày sau khi họ bị bắt giữ.
Saleh, người đã trị vì Yemen trong 32 năm, từ lâu đã bị phê phán về chính phủ tham nhũng của ông ta, và được coi như con tốt đen trong những cố gắng chống khủng bố của Mỹ.
Saleh cũng có một lịch sử những cuộc thỏa thuận cay đắng với các chiến binh Hồi giáo và những cuộc nổi dậy của nhiều bộ tộc để giữ được chính quyền – một sự kiện mà cộng đồng quốc tế đã và đang quan tâm chặt chẽ kể từ khi al Qaeda ở bán đảo A rập, hoạt dộng chủ yếu bên ngoài Yemen, nhận trách nhiệm về âm mưu năm 2009 đánh bom một máy bay của Northwest Airlines trên đường đến Detroit.
Đầu năm nay, quốc hội Yemen đã sơ bộ chuẩn y một biện pháp cho phép Saleh, kẻ đã cai trị hơn ba thập kỷ, được ở lại chính quyền vượt quá sự ủy trị hiến định của ông ta.
Tin tức nhắc đến những cuộc biểu tình đã mạnh lên trong nước này kể từ khi có cuộc nổi dậy của Tunisia.
3. Kim Jong Il

Là lãnh tụ tối cao của một trong những nước cô lập nhất thế giới, Kim Jong Il của Bắc Triều Tiên không được biết đến gì nhiều ngoài những những tuyên bố huênh hoang, thường là ngu xuẩn, của những cái mồm chính thức của chế độ.
Những sự việc như ông ta đã có lần viết sáu vở opera trong hai năm, “huấn luyện” cho đội tuyển World Cup của nước ông ta bằng công nghệ điện thoại di động tàng hình (mà ông ta sáng chế ra) và ghi được tỉ số thắng 38 điểm trong một trận đấu golf (biến ông ta thành tay golf thủ vĩ đại nhất mọi thời đại).
Trong khi những kỳ công về tài nghệ của ông ta là tù mù, thì sự đói khổ cùng cực ở Bắc Triều tiên là rõ ràng. Khi Kim đã xây dựng một trong những quân đội thường trực lớn nhất thế giới, thì các tổ chức viện trợ ước tính khoảng 2 triệu người đã chết từ giữa những năm 1990 do kết quả của thiếu lương thực phần lớn vì quản lý kinh tế tồi tệ.
Chế độ toàn trị của Kim đã bị lên án về tra tấn, những vụ hành hình công khai, lao động nô lệ, cưỡng bức phá thai và giết hại trẻ sơ sinh; và khoảng 200.000 người bị giam là những tù nhân chính trị.
Tia hy vọng mỏng manh duy nhất của Bắc Triều Tiên là cái chết của Kim – hiện đang ốm yếu. Trong việc chọn để bổ nhiệm con trai của ông ta là Kim Jong Un, một kẻ trong độ tuổi 20 không có kinh nghiệm gì, làm người kế vị, Kim đã tạo ra một tương lai thiếu chắc chắn khi những thành viên mạnh khác trong gia đình ông ta đua tranh vào chức vụ chóp bu này. Một số người nói rằng sự không chắc chắn này có thể đưa đến việc đổi gác [chế độ] hay thậm chí một cuộc nổi loạn lãnh đạo bởi các sĩ quan quân đội bất mãn.
4. Alexander Lukashenko

Thường được mô tả như “nhà độc tài cuối cùng ở châu Âu”, Tổng thống Belarus Alexander Lukashenko đã cai trị nước Đông Âu này trong 16 năm.
Để chống đỡ cho nền cai trị của mình, những tiếng nói đối lập thường xuyên bị chặn, còn phương tiện truyền thông độc lập thì từ có ít đến không có.
Các đối thủ chính trị thường xuyên bị theo dõi bởi công an mật Belarus, trong nước cộng hòa thuộc Liên xô cũ này nó vẫn còn được gọi là KGB.
Lukashenko bắt đầu kiểm soát đất nước từ năm 1996 khi quốc hội xem xét kết tội ông ta, ông ta liền lập tức giải tán nó. Lukashenko sau đó tự tay chọn ra một quốc hội kế tục, và nắm lấy quyền kiểm soát ngành tư pháp của đất nước.
Tháng 12 vừa qua, nhà độc tài này đã được bầu lại với 80% số phiếu, nhưng nhiều nhà quan sát độc lập cho biết có sự gian lận phổ biến. Từ đó, Lukashenko đã lãnh đạo một cuộc đàn áp tàn bạo các đối thủ chính trị, trong đó có một vài người ra tranh cử với ông ta trong cuộc bầu cử tổng thống. 5. Omar H***an al-Bashir

Omar H***an al-Bashir, người lên cầm quyền ở Sudan sau khi lãnh đạo một cuộc đảo chính năm 1989 (ông ta là tổng thống từ năm 1993), có một danh hiệu nhục nhã là nguyên thủ quốc gia đương chức đầu tiên mà Tòa án Hình sự Quốc tế phát lệnh bắt.
Ông ta bị truy nã về tội ác chống nhân loại, tội ác chiến tranh và theo một lệnh bắt thứ hai năm 2010, tội diệt chủng ở Darfur.
Những bản cáo trạng này không phải là thách thức duy nhất mà al-Bashir phải đối mặt.
Trong tháng Giêng 2011, cùng tháng người miền nam Sudan đi bỏ phiếu trong một cuộc trưng cầu dân ý để ly khai, các sinh viên miền Bắc đã chiếm các đường phố để phản đối chế độ của al-Bashir.
6. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Cuộc bầu cử lại vào nhiệm kỳ thứ hai năm 2009 mà ông ta thắng lớn – với hơn 60% số phiếu – đã gây ra một cuộc nổi dậy ở Iran.
Đối thủ chính của Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, là Mir-Hossein Mousavi và những người ủng hộ ông kêu là lừa đảo, yêu cầu kiểm lại phiếu và sau đó kêu gọi hủy bỏ kết quả bầu cử.
Hàng chục người bị giết trong các cuộc biểu tình bị đàn áp bởi các lực lượng bán quân sự. Sau một tuần chống đối mãnh liệt, Lãnh tụ Tối cao của Iran Ayatullah Ali Khamenei tuyên bố các kết quả bầu cử là hợp lệ và khẳng định thắng lợi của Ahmadinejad.

7. Robert Mugabe

Robert Mugabe đã cai trị Zimbabwe từ khi đất nước giành được độc lập năm 1980.
Trong quá trình hơn 30 năm làm Thủ tướng và Tổng thống, ông ta và Mặt trận Yêu nước – Liên hiệp Dân tộc Phi châu Zimbabwe của ông ta đã đàn áp khốc liệt những người đối lập và quan tâm đến việc duy trì quyền lực hơn là cải thiện đời sống của công dân trong nước.
Bất chấp những thủ đoạn bạo ngược, sự bất mãn của nhân dân bộc lộ rõ năm 2009 khi Morgan Tsvangirai của Phong trào vì Chuyển đổi Dân chủ nhận được nhiều phiếu hơn Mugabe trong cuộc bầu Tổng thống.

8. Emomali Rahmon

Từ 1992, chỉ một năm sau khi độc lập, nhà nước Trung Á Tajikistan nhỏ bé đã bị thống trị bởi Emomali Rahmon. Cựu thành viên của ban lãnh đạo đảng cộng sản Liên xô lên nắm quyền vào lúc trong nước bắt đầu cuộc nội chiến đẫm máu, đấu với một phe cánh dẫn đầu bởi những người Islamist chống lại khối thống trị thế tục của những lực lượng được Nga ủng hộ, trong đó có Rahmon.
Mười ngàn người chết, nhưng Rahmon thoát ra thắng lợi, và, giống như các lãnh tụ của các chế độ khác ở Trung Á, ông ta bào chữa cho sự chuyên quyền của mình phần nào bằng cách coi mình như một hàng rào ngăn chặn mối đe dọa của những kẻ cực đoan quá khích.
Nhưng các chuyên gia mô tả nước Tajikistan của Rahmon là một nước nghèo khổ và vô luật pháp, và là nơi chủ yếu tuồn thuốc phiện từ nước láng giềng Afghanistan.
Sau cuộc suy thoái tài chính đánh vào những nước giầu hơn là Nga và Kazakhstan, hàng chục ngàn công nhân Tajik – mà tiền họ gửi về là dòng máu nuôi sống nền kinh tế Tajikistan – trở về nhà ở những làng quê xác xơ tiêu điều vì nghèo đói. Trong không khí ấy, các nhà quan sát nói về cuộc nổi dậy của những người Islamist từ lâu nằm im đang trỗi dậy mãnh liệt, một phần được hậu thuẫn bởi những chiến binh mới đến, (trước đây họ trú ngụ trong những vùng thuộc các bộ lạc Pakistan).

Abdelaziz Bouteflika 73 tuổi là tổng thống Algeria từ năm 1999, một nhà hoạt động lâu dài trong Mặt trận Giải phóng Dân tộc – đảng của những người cách mạng xã hội chủ nghĩa.
Cuộc đấu tranh đẫm máu của họ đã giành được độc lập cho Algeria từ tay Pháp năm 1962, nhưng sau đó nhanh chóng chuyển thành chế độ độc đảng lãnh đạo, dựa trên quân đội.
Từ những năm 1990 chế độ thống trị này tiến hành một cuộc chiến tranh dữ dội với những người Islamist, những người đã bị từ chối chỗ đứng chính đáng trong chính phủ sau khi quân đội loại bỏ các cuộc bầu cử.
Trong nhiệm kỳ của mình, Bouteflika đã thử nuôi dưỡng những mối quan hệ với các đảng khác cải thiện hồ sơ tệ hại của đất nước về dân chủ, nhưng các quyền tự do chính trị vẫn còn bị kiểm soát trong khi các nhà quan sát chỉ ra nạn tham nhũng đang tăng tiến trong giai cấp thống trị của Algeria.
Mặc dầu đất nước này giầu có nguồn khí đốt tự nhiên, tỉ lệ thất nghiệp cao và dân cư đặc biệt trẻ đang khao khát những cơ hội tốt hơn.
Sau cuộc nổi dậy của công dân đuổi tổng thống Tunisia Zine el Abidine Ben Ali vào tháng Giêng, Boutelflika – nước ông nghèo hơn nhiều so với nước láng giềng Tunisia – trông có vẻ cũng phải bắt đầu đối mặt với một cuộc nổi dậy của dân chúng đang nảy nở. Cuộc nổi dậy của Tunisia bùng cháy khi một thanh niên bị hất ra lề đường châm lửa tự thiêu. Từ đó đến nay ở Algeria đã có bảy trường hợp bắt chước tự hy sinh như vậy. |

Lạc vào một thôn văn hóa “lạ”
(Dân trí) - Thị trấn Nam Ban (Lâm Hà, Lâm Đồng) được coi là Hà Nội thứ hai của cả nước bởi những tên phố giống hệt ở Thủ đô: Ba Đình, Đông Anh, Gia Lâm… Nhưng ngay giữa “Hà Nội 2” đó lại có những con người như đang sống ở một thế giới khác...
Đó là tôi đang nói đến người dân thôn Buôn Chuối, dân tộc K ho, thuộc xã Mê Linh, huyện Lâm Hà, tỉnh Lâm Đồng.
Thôn chỉ cách thành phố Đà Lạt chừng 30km, ngay đầu thôn, một cổng chào rất hoành tráng và bắt mắt: “UBND xã Mê Linh. Cán bộ và nhân dân thôn Buôn Chuối quyết tâm xây dựng thôn văn hóa”. Nhưng ngay trục đường chính của thôn - dài chưa đầy 1km với khoảng 40 hộ dân sinh sống - đứng đầy hai bên đường là những em bé không mặc quần áo, lê la nghịch đất cát; những nhóm người lớn túm năm tụm ba ngồi la liệt trước sân nhà. Hỏi ngồi đó làm gì; họ nói ngồi… sưởi nắng.
Cổng chào hoành tráng "quyết xây dựng thôn văn hóa" ngay đầu thôn.
Nét chung của người dân thôn Buôn Chuối là quần áo luộm thuộm, da đen trũi, mặt mũi lem luốc, tóc xoăn tít, bết thành từng mảng trên đầu; trẻ em hầu như chỉ “biết” mặc áo, thò lò mũi xanh, lê la khắp nơi và thi thoảng lại bốc đất bỏ mồm.

9h sáng, tôi tới trường học của thôn, căn nhà cấp 4 dột nát có kê vài bộ bàn ghế cũ kỹ. Cô giáo đang điểm danh lớp học, nhìn quanh thấy chẳng em nào có sách vở, 100% đi chân đất tới trường. Cô giáo cho biết, đây là lớp học giáo lý, các em chưa biết chữ, kể cả những em học lớp 3, lớp 5 cũng chưa biết đọc biết viết nên cô chỉ giảng “chay” cho các em thôi.

Tiếp tục cuộc hành trình, tôi ghé nhà một phụ nữ trạc 30 tuổi, đang “phân xử” cho ba cô con gái cởi trần giành nhau nước tắm. Chị nói: “Ở đây hai nhà chung một cái giếng nước, một ngày lấy khoảng ba, bốn can về để ăn. Chồng đi làm thuê, vợ ở nhà trông con, khi nào chồng ốm thì vợ đi thay. Làm thuê chỉ đủ tiền mua gạo thôi lấy đâu ra tiền mua thức ăn, rau lấy từ trên rừng về”.
Hai gia đình chung một giếng nước vàng ệch.
Tôi ngó xuống giếng, chỉ thấy một màu nước vàng, nhiều váng, nằm tít dưới đáy sâu. Hỏi chị tên gì, tôi quá ngạc nhiên khi nhận được câu trả lời ráo hoảnh kèm nụ cười rất tươi: “Không có tên”.
Rời khỏi “thôn văn hóa” Buôn Chuối, tôi cứ bị ám ảnh mãi về những con người, sống giữa một thế giới văn minh mà hoang sơ, “nguyên thủy” đến tội nghiệp!

And the winner is. Last night the 83rd Academy Awards aka The Oscars were held in Hollywood. Glitz, glamour, golden statues and some celebrities not looking glamourous at all. Big winner of the night was The King´s Speech, which scooped the big awards of Best Actor, Best Picture and Best Director. Here´s a full list of winners.

1. Tượng Little Mermaid  Tượng Little Mermaid là hình ảnh một cô gái mình người đuôi cá bé nhỏ ngồi trên tảng đá ở cảng Copenhagen của Đan Mạch. Du khách lần đầu tiên viếng thăm nơi đây sẽ thực sự ngạc nhiên vì kích thước tương đối nhỏ của bức tượng. Nó được sáng tác bởi Edward Eriksen và xây dựng vào năm 1913 với chiều cao 1.25 m và nặng khoảng 175 kg. Ngày nay, chính quyền thành phố Copenhagen thông báo sẽ di dời bức tượng cách xa cảng hơn để ngăn chặn du khách leo trèo lên tượng. Hàng năm, bức tượng này thu hút rất nhiều khách du lịch đến tham quan.2. Tượng Lions of Delos  Tượng Lions of Delos là hình dạng những chú sư tử của Delos nằm trên hòn đảo thuộc Delos ở gần Mykonos. Đây là một trong những di tích lịch sử và khảo cổ học thần thoại quan trọng nhất của nước Hy Lạp. Những bức tượng được xây dựng trước năm 600 trước Công nguyên. Ở đây từng có từ 9 - 12 tượng sư tử bằng cẩm thạch đứng bảo vệ lối đi bất khả xâm phạm. Hiện nay, chỉ có 5 tượng sư tử còn nguyên vẹn và những mảnh vỡ còn sót lại của 3 tượng sư tử.3. Tượng Mother Russia  Mother Russia còn được gọi là Tiếng gọi của đất mẹ là một bức tượng nổi tiếng của Mamayev Kurgan ở Volgograd,Nga. Bức tượng này được xây dựng và hoàn thành vào năm 1967 để tưởng niệm cuộc chiến đấu Stalingrad. Đây là bức tượng cao nhất thế giới (85m). Độ dài từ chân tượng đến cán thanh kiếm là 52m, từ cán thanh kiếm đến thanh kiếm là 33 m. Từ chân đồi đến công trình tưởng niệm này có khoảng 200 bậc thang tượng trưng cho 200 ngày của cuộc chiến đấu.4. Tượng Olmec Heads  Omec là biểu tượng nền văn minh của người Columbia cổ xưa sống ở miền Trung Nam Mexico. Nền văn minh Omec thịnh vượng nhất là từ năm 1400 trước Công nguyên đến năm 400 trước Công nguyên. Một hình ảnh tượng trưng cho nền văn minh Omec được biết đến nhiều nhất là những cái đầu đội mũ sắt khổng lồ. Chúng được trang trí và có kích cỡ khác nhau từ chiều cao 1.47 m - 3.4 m. Ngày nay, người ta đã khai quật được 17 bức tượng khổng lồ này.5. Tượng Mount Nemrut  Ngọn núi Nemrut (2134 m) nằm ở phía Đông Nam Thổ Nhĩ Kì, gần thành phố Adiyaman. Vào năm 62 trước Công nguyên, nhà vua Antiochus I Theos của xứ Commagene đã xây dựng cho riêng mình một ngôi mộ tôn nghiêm với những bức tượng (cao 8-9 m) bên hông trên đỉnh núi Nemrut. Những bức tượng có hình thù của 2 con sư tử, 2 con đại bàng, các vị thánh xứ Ba Tư và Hy Lạp. Với tác động của thiên nhiên, theo thời gian, đầu của tượng thần bị sụp đổ lìa khỏi thân. Các tượng đặc biệt này đã tạo nên một góc nhìn tuyệt đẹp cho địa điểm này. Bạn có thể chiêm ngưỡng màu vàng óng huyền bí được phát ra từ những tia sáng bình minh chiếu vào thân tượng thần.6. Tượng David Tượng David là một kiệt tác của thời Phục hưng, được sáng tạo bởi Michelangelo từ năm 1501 - 1504. Bức tượng cẩm thạch cao 5.17 m này thể hiện hình tượng nhà vua trong kinh thánh tên David với tư thế khỏa thân khác với hình tượng vị anh hùng David sau chiến thắng trận đấu Goliath. Bức tượng được di dời tới phòng trưng bày Accademia ở Florence (Ý) vào năm 1873 để tránh bị hư hại. Khách du lịch trên thế giới rất thích thú khi chọn nơi đây làm điểm tham quan hàng năm. Một bản sao của bức tượng này được đặt tại Piazza Signoria, nơi xuất xứ của nó.7. Tượng Great Sphinx  Tượng Great Sphinx nằm ở Giza Plateau, Ai Cập. Đây là một trong những bức tượng lớn và cổ xưa nhất thế giới. Sự thật về khuôn mẫu, thời gian xây dựng và người thiết kế ra nó đang là vấn đề tranh luận. Mặc dù vậy, các nhà khảo cổ học Ai Cập đương đại phần lớn cho rằng tượng Great Sphinx được xây dựng vào năm 2500 trước Công nguyên bởi Faraon Khafre.8. Tượng Nữ thần tự do  Tượng nữ thần tự do là món quà mà người Pháp tặng cho nước Mỹ nhân dịp kỷ niệm 100 năm ngày nước Mỹ tuyên bố độc lập. Đây là một trong những biểu tượng nổi tiếng của thế giới. Bức tượng thể hiện một phụ nữ khăn quàng cổ, đội vương miện sáng chói, tay phải nắm ngọn đuốc giơ cao lên trời và tay trái nắm tấm bảng gỗ. Bức tượng được người Pháp xây dựng xong vào năm 1884 và được chuyển đến Mỹ năm 1885.9. Tượng Chúa Giê-su cứu thế  Tượng Chúa Giê-su cứu thế nằm trên ngọn núi Corcorado cao 700 m. Đứng từ vị trí này, bạn có thể trải tầm nhìn ra xa khắp vịnh Guanabara ở phía Bắc đến Lagoa Rodrigo của Freitas ở phía Nam. Bức tượng cao 39.6 m và rộng 30 m. Đây là bức tượng chúa Giê-su nổi tiếng và là thánh tượng của Rio và Braxin.10. Tượng Moai  Tượng Moai nổi tiếng thế giới được làm bằng đá nguyên khối. Nó nằm ở Đông Island, một hòn đảo bị cô lập nhất trên thế giới. Bức tượng nổi tiếng này được điêu khắc bởi người khai phá ra hòn đảo này tên Polynesian vào khoảng giữa năm 1250 và 1500 sau Công nguyên. Bức tượng thể hiện hình ảnh của những tổ tiên đã mất. Tượng Moai còn được xem là hiện thân cho sức sống mãnh liệt của những vị lãnh tụ xưa. Tượng Moai cao nhất tên là Paro cao 10 m và nặng 75 tấn. Tượng Moai nặng nhất được xây dựng nhỏ hơn nhưng nặng tới 86 tấn và còn có một bức tượng Moai chưa được xây dựng xong, nếu được hoàn thành thì bức tượng này cao 21 m và nặng 270 tấn. Ngày nay có khoảng 50 tượng Moai được tu bổ lại ở Đông Island và một số viện bảo tàng trên thế giới.

Ca sĩ kỳ cựu của những bài hát đầy nhân văn như 'True Colours', 'Another Day in Paradise', 'You'll Be in My Heart'... từ biệt sự nghiệp âm nhạc ở tuổi 60 vì những chấn thương trên cơ thể sau nhiều năm ca hát. Ông nói với tạp chí FHM hôm 5/3 rằng những năm tháng dài ca hát và ngồi sau bộ trống đã khiến ông gặp nhiều vấn đề về sức khỏe, khả năng nghe kém đi, trật đốt xương sống, dây thần kinh bị tổn thương, bàn tay mỗi khi nắm dùi trống đều cảm thấy đau đớn. Ảnh: AP. “Tôi không thực sự thuộc về thế giới đó và tôi cũng không chắc mọi người sẽ nhớ đến tôi”, ông nói trên FHM. “Thế giới âm nhạc ngày nay thuộc về MTV Music Awards và những nghệ sĩ chỉ quan tâm đến mức độ nổi tiếng hơn là cống hiến cho âm nhạc. Điều đó càng làm quyết định của tôi thêm dễ dàng. Tôi hạnh phúc hơn khi tự viết nên kịch bản của chính cuộc đời mình”. Nhiều thập niên cống hiến hết mình cùng dòng nhạc Rock & Roll của Phil Collins đã mang lại cho ông cả những cái được và cái mất. Ông từng giành 7 giải Grammy, có 13 đĩa đơn thành công và còn đoạt giải Oscar và Quả Cầu Vàng cho Ca khúc nhạc phim hay nhất với “You'll Be in My Heart” trong tác phẩm hoạt hình “Tarzan” (1999) của Disney. Phil Collins thừa nhận những thành công rực rỡ trong âm nhạc đôi khi khiến ông gặp nhiều khó khăn. “Tôi xin lỗi vì đã thành công đến thế. Tôi thực lòng không muốn mọi chuyện xảy ra như vậy, bởi thật buồn và kinh ngạc khi nhận ra rằng, nhiều người trở nên ghét tôi vì điều đó”. Chẳng hạn, hồi năm ngoái, tay guitar nổi tiếng Noel Gallagher của nhóm Oasis từng nói: “Bạn không cần phải vĩ đại để có được thành công.
